Mulago Digital Access System — Privacy Policy

Mulago Digital Access System is a WhatsApp digital-access service that helps users navigate Mulago pathology services, check whether a biopsy or cytology result is ready, and request review of a screening appointment for a swelling.

Information the service may receive

The service may receive a WhatsApp phone number, profile name, message text, selected menu option, laboratory number, appointment-request details, and media a user chooses to submit for an appointment request.

How information is used

Information is used only to operate the requested WhatsApp pathway, return a result status, route a service request, coordinate an appointment review, maintain service security, and improve operational reliability.

Clinical and safety limitation

The WhatsApp service does not diagnose cancer and does not send diagnoses or pathology report contents. Result checking returns status information only, such as ready, not ready, or not found. Clinical decisions remain with qualified health professionals and the responsible health facility.

Sharing and access

Information is not sold. Access is limited to authorized service administrators and health-service personnel who need it to provide the requested pathway, subject to applicable operational, legal, and clinical requirements.

Storage and security

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect service information. Information is retained only as needed for service delivery, security, lawful operations, and legitimate clinical or administrative requirements.

Correction and deletion requests

To request correction or deletion of eligible information, email kebezahealth@gmail.com with the subject “Mulago Digital Access data request”. Some information may need to be retained where required for lawful, security, clinical, or administrative reasons.
